Restless and Ready
How many of you get restless when you have a big event coming up. I do for sure! I just feel like I could be doing a million things to make sure my event is perfect, but it is Friday evening and I am on a road trip to Texas with my family. I can't really do anything for my event. This is the time I always have to take a DEEP breath and tell myself to let it go and enjoy what is going on all around me right now. That is easier said than done.
My event is a really big deal to me. I am hosting a panel discussion at the University of Central Oklahoma over Oklahoma Senate Bill 1140. The bill allows for legalized discrimination against potential adoptive parents by private adoption agencies, as long as the discrimination falls within the written religious or moral documents that found the institutions policies. I have a cast of VIP panelists from both sides of the argument, and a great location at the college. Now I just have to worry about the details.
What are some things you do when you get restless? How do you bring yourself back to the present and enjoy what is going on right in front of you? Leave feedback and as always... be good and be good to each other!
