Lent 2020
Hello Everyone!
I hope this finds you well!
It is the season of Lent in the Christian Church. That means different things to different people. For me, it is a time to reflect on my life and the things I add to my life that I might be able to do without. Jesus went out into the wilderness and was tempted 3 times, but he persevered. I go out into the "wilderness," and I feel tempted nearly every minute of the day! Jesus' temptations were much more significant than my own, and I know if I were tempted the same manner that He was, I would probably fail. I mean 40 days in the desert with nothing! C'mon, none of us are making it.
Some people give things up for Lent, others add items to their routine. Personally, I give something up. Last year I gave up drinking anything but water. This year I gave up pastries and desserts. Do you give anything up? Or do you add things like journaling or exercise to your life?
I'd really love to hear what others think about Lent and how you all celebrate this season leading up to Easter. Leave me some feedback or start a new discussion. This space is for all of us to get to know one another better and to discuss the things that might be hard to talk about in other areas.
Until Next Time,
Grace Peace, and Love
